LPRF Awarded Grant to Upgrade Sound System
November 2016 – Sound quality in the Community Center has always been a challenge whether during a regular youth or adult regular program or a special community event. Thank you to The Ford Family Foundation for your quick assistance in providing us with $7,740 for the upgrade. We would also like to thank Wilderness Garbage & Recycling for your $500 donation toward the system.
LPRF Awarded Grant to Upgrade Phone System
September 2016 – The District urgently needed an upgrade to its phone system to insure good communication with the public. Thank you Oregon Community Foundation for your quick assistance in providing us with $2,700 for the upgrade.
2017 South County Boil Has Been Postponed
We apologize for the short notice but due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances, the South County Boil has been postponed for 2017. We appreciate your generous support and look forward to seeing you at this fun event next year!
Last years South County Boil resulted in over $12,000 raised for the HUB After School Program, Youth Sports Programs and Facilities! Thank you to all who attended and made this possible!

Buying a brick is a unique way to honor those cherished in your life (parents, grandparents, siblings, children, friends, pets, etc…).Business names are also welcome. Sale proceeds will go to support the La Pine Parks & Recreation District in improving the La Pine Community one brick at a time. All bricks purchased will be displayed and used in the designed project including walk-ways in Frontier Heritage Park. Leave your mark by having a brick engraved with your name and message to be viewed for years to come!
About the project
The Ford Institute Leadership Program Cohort 3 initially partnered with the La Pine Park & Recreation Foundation in order to construct something beautiful and practical for Frontier Heritage Park. Now under the care of La Pine Park & Recreation District, bricks continue to be available for purchase. Funds from the sale of bricks will be used for on-going maintenance of the project.
